The Pickens County Cooperative Library System consists of the Pickens County Cooperative Library located in Carrollton and the four other member libraries -- Aliceville Public Library, Carrollton Public Library, Reform Public Library, and the Ruth Holliman Public Library in Gordo.

The mission of the Pickens County Cooperative Library (PCCL) is to support each member library in providing quality library services to the residents of Pickens County. Added emphasis is placed on providing a variety of programs for patrons of all ages including outreach programs for residents who may not be readily able to access traditional library services and special programs such as the annual Summer Library Program.. Additionally, the PCCL helps develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with local schools and educational facilities, as well as community groups and agencies.

The public libraries of Pickens County are funded through local governments, State Aid to Public Libraries in Alabama, numerous grant opportunities, but most importantly, through donations from concerned individuals, Friends of the Library groups, and business and industry contributions. All donations are tax deductible and very much appreciated.
