Services
Library Cards -- Individuals who are 18 years of age and older may obtain a library card by presenting a picture I.D. and paying a fee of $1.50 to cover the cost of the card and postage. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent’s signature to obtain a library card. The card or a picture I.D. must be presented at checkout. Replacement cards cost $1.00.
Library Materials Circulation -- Books may be checked out for two weeks. Magazines, CD’s, DVD’S and some reference materials may be checked out for one week. Fines for overdue materials are as follows:
- Books and magazines -- 10 cents per day
- Reserve books, Interlibrary Loan books and books on waiting lists --20 cents per day
- Audio book -- 50 cents per day
- DVD’s -- $1.00 per day
- Lost materials -- $5.00 processing fee, plus cost of the item
Computers -- Aliceville Library has 16 public access computers with Internet access as well as word processing and other programs. There is no fee to use the computers, however there is a 25 cent per page fee to print B/W materials. Computers are available on a first come first served basis. There is a one hour time limit on computer use per day. All patrons must sign a Computer Agreement Form before use. Those patrons 18 years or younger must have the form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Computer Printing and Copy Service -- The following prices apply to this service:
- 8 1/2 ×11 B&W: (One side) -- 25 cents (Both sides) -- 35 cents
- 8 1/2 x 14 B&W: (One side) -- 35 cents (Both sides) -- 45 cents
- Color: (One side) -- $1.00 (Both Sides) -- $2.00
Laminating -- The following fees apply to laminating:
- $1.00 for 8×11 size page
- 50 cents for business sized cards
Fax Service -- Faxing fees are $2.00 for first page and $1.25 for each additional page.
Story Time -- Story time is available for children 3to 5 years of age on Wednesday mornings at 10:00a.m. Story time is offered from September through May.
